Medford, Ore. -- Medford Fire crews responded to two fires on S. Grape Street Tuesday morning. The first call came in just after 4:00 a.m. near S. Grape and 9th Street.

Power lines exploded as a shed at the back of a home went up in flames.

Fire officials say the resident made it out safely, but a neighbor says that she still doesn't know if the owner's cat was caught inside. One room inside the house was completely scorched and there is smoke damage throughout the house.

The second fire started in an alley also on S. Grape Street; the call came in just after 4:10 a.m. Fire officials say it was small fire a block south and that they knocked it down quickly.

Medford Police and Fire crews are investigating if these fires are the work of the a serial arsonist.
