Trail, Ore. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says they have located the body of man in Lost Creek Lake.
Officers say that they began searching for 69-year-old Charles Steven Schnell of Sams Valley after staff at the Lost Creek Lake Marina reported him missing at the request of his wife. Schnell was reportedly to have been at the lake since Monday.
JSCO marine deputies found Schnell’s body at the north end of the lake around 2:00 Wednesday afternoon, approximately two hours after he was officially reported missing.
Deputies say they’re still searching for the boat. It’s described at a 2015 blue and silver Raider Pro Sport boat. The registration numbers are OR486AFA. If you have any information about this case, or have seen the missing boat, call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 541-774-6800.
