Seventy-five veterans in Southern Oregon who are battling homelessness will be given the chance to get back on their feet.

Housing and Urban development and Veterans Affairs have issued 75 housing rental vouchers for homeless vets and their families. The effort comes on the Obama Administration's commitment to end homelessness among veterans by 2015.

45 vouchers will be awarded in Jackson County, with 15 each in Josephine and Klamath counties.

All of the vouchers are being handled by the VA's Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, or SORCC, in White City.

You can contact the SORCC for more information on how to apply at

(541) 826-2111.
