Marine faces murder charges

Anchorage, Alaska --- (KTUU)  Police in Anchorage, Alaska have arrested a California-based Marine suspected of killing his pregnant lover.

In a brief statement Monday, the Anchorage Police Department confirmed that officers assisted in taking Cpl. Christopher Brandon Lee into custody at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

"Lee has been charged with homicide by officials in San Bernardino County," police wrote. "Lee was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop and was transported to the Anchorage Jail."

Erin Corwin's body was found in an abandoned mine shaft not far from her home in Twentynine Palms, California.
