Beaver Complex fire update

Medford, Ore. -- According to officials the Beaver Complex consists of two fires: Salt Creek Fire and Oregon Gulch Fire.

The Salt Creek Fire is at 108 acres as of 12:50 p.m. The fire is 20 miles northwest of Medford and is 30% contained. Officials say the fire was caused by lightning and started on July 30th. 

ODF officials are asking the public to use caution while driving near the vicinity of the Salt Creek Fire. Vehicles cutting corners while traveling the roads in the area of East Evans Road, West Evans Road, and Antioch Road have been reported.
