In Ashland, the state of the economy and job development are just a few of the topics city officials plan to discuss Monday morning in a public forum.

The meeting is part of a statewide campaigned called 'City Hall Week.'

City officials across the state will come together with local legislators and candidates to discuss issues related to the economic status of Oregon communities.

Some of the topics to be discussed in Ashland will include finance reform, job development, and the renewal of the 9-1-1 tax.

Officials hope that Monday's meeting will provide an opportunity for city officials, state lawmakers and legislative candidates to share ideas and perspectives prior to the 2013 legislative session.

The meeting is open to the public and starts around 9 am at 51 Winburn Way.
