Vietnamese Family Finds Positive Side To Hate Crime

Hateful comments about race followed by a dangerous "Drano Bomb" left at his home the community has come out in support of one family man and his business.

Yung Hang, co-owner of Saigon Xich Lo a Vietnamese food wagon in downtown Grants Pass has seen his share of hard times. As a 33-year resident of Southern Oregon, Hang is doing what he can to provide for his family. Lately he's been on edge. A few weeks ago someone put what is called a "Drano Bomb" Against his house and it exploded. The dangerous part is the chemical mixture used. Drain cleaner.

Hang thought this incident might be related to others. The day prior, a random woman came to his food stand downtown with some hateful words for him and his family. We aired the story and the community has backed the man. Today, police haven't been able to solve the crimes but Yung Hang is staying positive.
