As of midnight, the wildfire danger level across the largest population area in southern Oregon has been raised to high in both Jackson and Josephine counties.
The increase in the danger level comes with new restrictions now.
Officials say as of Friday, campfires will only be allowed in designated areas, motorized vehicles must drive on proper roads and electric powered lawn mowers can't be used during the hours of 1 and 8 PM.
Officials tell NBC 5 News that they are ready for the season and hope this years will be fairly mild.
