A 16-year-old is on a mission to help troops overseas feel a bit more at home.

Boy Scout Bryce Thornton has been packing gift and goodie boxes for troops in Afghanistan since 2009.

To date -- he has sent out 2300 boxes.

If you'd like to help him and our Americans overseas -- you can drop off donations at Valley Feed and Supply in Eagle Point, Rainey's Corner in White City, Overhead Door or KMED Radio in Medford before September 30th.

Organizers say the troops need snack items like granola bars, individually wrapped hard candies and other pre-packaged foods.

The young man is doing the project for his Eagle rank in the Boyscouts.
