Grants Pass, Ore. -- First Call Resolution in Grants Pass is looking to hire 50-60 employees by the end of June.

The call center opened in 2009. It currently employs 225 people and provides customer and technical service for over 50 clients. Within the past month they've hired 54 people.

Site Director, Maria Hawkins, said the jobs start at $9.50 an hour and include medical and dental benefits and paid vacation.

Applicants can apply here The application includes a test measuring reading comprehension, typing, and customer service skills.

The news comes as a relief to Grants Pass resident Dan Coventry. He's been looking for a job for five years.

"I was tired of beating the pavement, going and getting rejected. I went in for a one position job and there would be 30 people there," Coventry said.

Hawkins said she's not surprised by the growth.

"We've seen a lot of change in the economy especially in Southern Oregon. We haven't had trouble recruiting. There's definitely people ready to work," Hawkins said.

The company has 800 employees across their four Oregon locations in Grants Pass, Coos Bay, Roseburg, and Veneta. They were named a "Top Workplace" the past two years by the Oregonian newspaper.

"It really just comes down to our culture and we're only as successful as our employees make us so we keep them happy," Hawkins said.
