Grants Pass, Ore.-- Friday The Grants Pass SWAT Team entered a house on Madrone Street with guns up and armor out ready to take down a man who police said barricaded himself inside his house.
Police arrested 40-year-old Sean Arthur Strunk who they said broke into his neighbor's house Friday afternoon and then assaulted her in front of her children.
They said he then left and barricaded himself in his own house for nearly four hours.
Lieutenant Todd Moran said, "Because of the severity of the crime. The unknown, we didn't know if the subject was armed. There was a report from one of the witnesses that he may have had a firearm."
After Strunk wouldn't surrender police got a warrant and Strunk taken down with a taser.
Neighbor, Jared Sandeen said Strunk is known to be troublemaker, but he thanks police for their quick response.
"It'ts good that we have police in Grants Pass but as far as the neighborhood goes we have a great neighborhood."
The ordeal had the part of Madrone Street blocked off for hours. Police said the woman assaulted by Strunk suffered some bruising in the face.
Strunk is facing several charges including burglary, assault, and resisting arrest.
