Shady Cove residents were stuck with a mess of water after heavy rain fell overnight which snarled traffic and flooded parking lots.
The damage wasn't as significant as it was in the coastal regions, but Shady Cove residents were bracing for the first big rain storm of the season. Substantial rain flooded parking areas in town creating a mess for people trying to get where they need to go. The Shady Cove Market temporarily closed a portion of their lot to bail water out and a clogged drain at the Post Office created a pool of water in the middle of the lot. While this was the first big storm, it isn't the last. Residents say they're pretty good about staying prepared. The area is also home to "Flood Rock" a pillar type mountain peak, if that's under water it's likely that other parts are too.
