John Lewis says his wife was alarmed by a man trying to open a window to their home before he went outside and confronted a man and held him at gun point until police arrived.

Normally the dog bark at the sight or sound of another person but today that didn't happen. Around 5 AM John Lewis says his wife came running in the room to tell him an intruder was trying to get inside their home. Lewis says the first thing we went for were his clothes, and then his gun.

"I would have shot him if he tried to harm me or the wife"

He waited for the man to come around the corner of his home, Lewis pointed the gun at him, "I said, don't move, stop and he didn't keep on going"

The suspected burglar was named by police as Zenaido Quinonez-Aispuro, 24 years old, a transient from Medford.
