Local Jackson County Fire Departments are taking part in wildland fire program.

Fire crews will gather in the Talent Walmart parking lot Wednesday morning, before they "deploy" to a wildfire on camp baker road.

The training's focus is to prepare local crews should a large wildland fire break out here in Southern Oregon.

The drills should be wrapped up by noon on Wednesday.
