Medford, Ore. -- Several organizations came together for Safety Saturday in the Rogue Valley Mall parking lot.

Medford Police and Rogue Valley Transportation Department held a bicycle rally to teach kids the safety aspects of biking. There were also CPR lessons and fire demonstrations.

"It's a really fun event where we get the public safety players in one spot so kids can come do fun  hands on activities, it's a little  different than doing it in the classroom," organizer Amy Thuren said.

This is the fourth year the event was held. It was hosted by Consumer Credit Counseling of Southern Oregon.
