Medford, Ore. -- The Medford City Council is considering ways to shorten the appeals process when it comes to business licenses.
The issue was discussed in Thursday's city council study session.
According to Medford City Councilor Daniel Bunn it's been a topic of interest since the lengthy appeals process of medical marijuana businesses MaryJane's Attic and The Lounge "We've learned through some of our recent appeals that the process takes too long. We don't set a maximum time or call out a time frame for which the appeals has to be processed and we think we can serve people in Medford by laying out some clear deadlines."
A final decision will likely come sometime next month.
The change would also cover the appeals process for taxi cards, nuisance abatement and sidewalk repairs.
