Medford man arrested for breaking into DOJ office

Medford, Ore. -- Workers with Child Support Services at the Oregon Department of Justice were evacuated Thursday after finding a man hiding in the attic.

A witness in the area of East 6th Street in Medford told police they saw the man go in.

Police say they searched the third floor where pieces of the ceiling fell and found the suspect hiding in a crawl-space.

24 year-old Konnor Reece Ayers is charged with burglary, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and trespassing.

Police are trying to determine whether or not the neighboring parking garage helped the man get in.
