Medford, Ore. - Medford Police arrested local transient John Paul McDonald Monday for his role in a string of burglaries and thefts.
They say he was involved in the following crimes:
Detectives say they were able to link McDonald to the residential burglary on Layla Drive from forensic evidence. Detectives believe Johnson was involved in the Connecting Point burglary after they say he was seen casing the business during normal business hours.
According to police, Johnson admitted to his involvement in the crimes. None of the property has been recovered.
Detectives believe an expensive heroin addiction was the motivation behind the crimes.
Johnson is charged with one count of 1st Degree Burglary, three counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, and three counts of 1st Degree Theft.
