Medford's grilled cheese stand closes for now

Medford, Ore. -- The Grilled Cheese Company in Medford closed it's drive through today in hopes of moving in to a bigger location.

Now, they're asking for the community's help to get them there.

Saturday they served free grilled cheese sandwiches to celebrate their customers and their move.

The drive up grilled cheese stand on Biddle Road has been up and running for two years. Owner Ray Ferro said it's time to move on.

"It was a stair stepper. In the restaurant business you've got to plan about two years of being in the red before your name gets known before people get to know where you are what you do so basically that's what this was," Ferro said.

They need to raise $15,000 to make the move. They're starting a Kickstarter campaign for community donations. It should be up and running in the next week.
