ODOT Celebrates National Teen Driver Safety Week

This week officials are reminding teen drivers to keep their eyes on the road.

The Oregon Department of Transportation will join forces with other agencies in National Teen Driver Safety week.

The goal is to remind teens to be alert whenbehind the wheel.

Research shows that drivers under the age of 25 are two to three times more likely to text and e-mail while driving.

There is good news, the number of teen related driving deaths has declined significantly in the last nine years.
