For the fourth year in a row, the State of Oregon has designated the first week of October as "Days of Culture Week."
The 7 day event started back in 2008 with the goal of celebrating arts, heritage and humanities across Oregon.
This year, 30 different counties will take part in the cultural week with more than 400 gatherings expected.
Southern oregon is taking part in the 'Days of Culture' through a variety of events.
Ashland is showing foreign films, during world film week, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is also participating.
In Medford, the library will host a lecture on Wednesday, featuring The Blue Ledge Mine.
Josephine community libraries in Grants Pass presents '10 ways to trace your family history," on Wednesday.
