Medford, Ore. -- Overnight, crews responded to a fire at a Medford apartment complex. At first, fire officials believed a disabled person was trapped above the fire. Flames were shooting out of a garage located inside an apartment complex on the corner of Holly and 12th street in west Medford. Approximately 20 firefighters and six engines came rushing to the blaze.

"We went into rescue mode," says Captain Jack Blose,  "Turned out they had already left the building, but that was our initial action." Thankfully no one was stuck... So crews could begin working on the second alarm fire. Most of the damage was contained to a garage, but official report there was smoke in several units. Tenants were forced to leave the building for at least tonight, as crews spent several ours putting out the flames.
