Medford, Ore. -- A police pursuit Wednesday night caused a commotion off Highway 99.

Medford Police said around 7:30pm they chased a stolen vehicle after an officer spotted it on Sage Road near Rossanley Drive.

Sgt. Kim Budreau said strategically placed officers helped end the chase quickly and safely "We basically flooded the area with a lot of police officers from two different teams. One of our traffic officers spotted the vehicle coming up Mason and a separate police officer had spike strips ready to go. The vehicle eluded the traffic officer."

Sgt. Budreau said the spike strips worked.

The driver eventually stopped on Charles Way but all four people inside the car got out and ran.

Police caught three of the four suspects and say the fourth is no longer wanted.
