Police cleared in officer involved shooting

Medford, Ore -- It took less than five minutes for a Jackson County Grand Jury to clear officers of any wrong-doing in last month's officer involved shooting in Medford.

Word of the ruling came down Thursday.

The shooting happened on March 6th, when Medford Police say fugitives out of Idaho, Wayne Pearson and Shavon Willard led them on a chase.

Police say that officers shot at the suspects after they rammed an undercover police car.

Pearson is charged with multiple counts, including assault, criminal mischief and attempting to elude police.

Willard is charged with possession of meth and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
