A Crater High School student is recovering, after being hit by a car on his way to school.
Central point police were called out to North Second Street Thursday morning, just after 8:30.
Reports say a 16-year old boy was walking in the crosswalk, when a car hit him.
Several witnesses saw the car drive off, and were able to get the license plate number.
Police later tracked down 24 year old Samuel Delaney, and cited him for a hit and run.
As of Friday morning, the boy is said to have minor injuries.
