The Josephine County Adult Jail has a new form of communication for their inmates as they serve time behind bars.

It's called video visitation. Everyday between the hours of 8AM and 8PM friends and family can deposit funds into the inmates' account to chat via webcam.

Each video call will cost 35 cents per minute with a max of 15 minutes. Inmates can expect to pay at most $5.25 per 15 minute call. However there are no limits to the amount of video calls each inmate can receive each day.

Those interested in the new service must first sign up online. For more information visit the website

All of the money collected will go back into the jail's fund to provide for inmates.
