Grants Pass, Ore.-- A Grants Pass woman is in stable condition after being stabbed and beaten by her fiance.

Police said they responded to the call on Cherry Lane just after midnight. They say 40 year-old Cosmo Seal and his fiance Jennifer Moore got into an argument when Seal physically assaulted her, and stabbed her in the leg.

Police said they also saw at least two bullet holes in the house.

Moore and Seal's children were inside when the assault happened but police said they are safe with a family member.

Moore is at Three Rivers Medical Center.

Seal is in the Josephine County Jail facing several charges including assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
