PORTLAND (KGW) – The 21-year-old woman killed in a gang-related shooting at a Southeast Portland apartment Sunday morning was pregnant, an autopsy found.
Ervaeua Ronchelle Herring was found dead at the Eastwood Village Apartments on Powell Blvd. at 5 a.m. after a reported shooting, according to Det. Molly Daul of Portland police.
Officials believe the shooting was gang-related.
Investigators said the apartment may have been the intended target, and multiple suspects were firing guns at the apartment.
After an autopsy Monday, the Oregon State Medical Examiner said Herring was killed by gunfire and was in the early stages of pregnancy.
According to Herring's social media accounts, she also had a young son.
"The only available suspect description is multiple African American males armed with guns," Daul said.
Anyone with information about the case was urged to call homicide detectives. Crime Stoppers was also offering $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
