The Josephine County Department of Public Safety hopes to see some much needed change to the county's criminal system. City officials took a look into these funds to prop up the jail on Tuesday night.

Grants Pass City Manager Aaron Cubic explains...

"One of the reasons for the transfer in those dollars from the unappropriated to contingency was for council to be able to have flexibility in potentially spend some resources to help out the Josephine County criminal system."

He says that's the hope for the future of the 2.2 million dollars but it won't be decided  officially until Monday night.
