3 Groups Of Hikers Found Safe

Nine hikers are home safe after they got lost on Mt. McLoughlin Saturday.

The Jackson County Sheriff's office, Klamath County Sheriffs office and a crew of 30 Search & Rescue members were out searching for 3 different groups of hikers from 3 am to 10am Sunday morning.

The sheriff's office says hikers need to be careful when hiking on Mt. McLoughlin because of an optical illusion that often misguides hikers.

The says its important to always carry warm clothing, food, and something to start a campfire with.
