A 79 year old Oregon man was arrested, and later released, after he led police on a high speed chase.
Police say William Barnes Senior was spotted driving at speeds reaching 80 miles per hour on I-5, near Roseburg Monday.
When Oregon State Police Troopers attempted to pull the man over, officials say Barnes accelerated to 110 miles per hour.
Before the man could reach the spike strips set up by OSP, he lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into a ditch.
Barnes was arrested, and taken to the Douglas County Jail.
He was later released.
