There are 37 million members of retired citizens on medicare who are wondering what the affordable care act means for them.

AARP, the American Association of Retired Persons, supports the supreme courts ruling. They're pleased by the act because they say it will allow them to expand medicare eligibility.

"It allows us now to ensure health care coverage to over 600,000 Oregonians previously un- or under-insured" says Jerry Cohen, State Director, AARP Oregon.

They also say the law will close the medicare prescription drug coverage gap, crack down on fraud, and eliminate discriminatory health insurance practices on older and retired citizens.
