Wavepower buoys set to be released off of the Oregon coast will be the first ever here in the US.
The 10 buoys have been approved to be deployed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, creating the country's first commercial wave energy park.
Once in the water, the buoys will generate enough power for 1,000 houses.
The first wave power station is set to be deployed later this year.
