Ashland Community Hospital is reporting a multimillion dollar loss last fiscal year.
The local hospital is down $2.5 million.
Officials say the loss is mainly due to unpaid medical bills and charity care, as well as un-reimbursed costs related to medicare and medicaid patients.
Officials say the loss isn't unexpected and is partially why the hospital has secured an outside partnership with Dignity Health.
