Ashland, Ore. -- The Ashland Planning Commission looked at where in Ashland medical marijuana dispensaries should be allowed and where they shouldn't.
Tuesday night the commission discussed the possibility of restricting dispensaries in some downtown areas and requiring conditional use permits in some employment, manufacturing, and commercial zones.
They also discussed restricted hours of operation and surveillance of dispensary buildings.
Some testimony was heard Tuesday night but a public hearing is scheduled for the planning commission's next regular meeting on May 13th.
That's when the commission will make its recommendations to the city council.
On April 1st, Ashland's City Council will consider a moratorium.
