Ashland residents can say good bye to four lanes of traffic on North Main street.
Monday night, work is scheduled to begin on the controversial construction project many have termed the "road diet."
In 2011, the decision was approved by the City Council to reduce four lanes down to two lanes with a center turn lane.
The change will be tested for one year to allow for more bike lanes.
Drivers can expect work to start from 8 P.M. Monday night until 6 A.M. Tuesday morning.
Construction will take places in stages with the first taking about five nights.
