Ashland residents can expect to be paying more for water rates this spring and possibly double over the next ten years.
Ashland water rates could skyrocket due to a proposed 30.5 million dollars in system upgrades.
The upgrades were recently recommended by the Ashland Water Advisory Committee.
If the city council adopts the recommendations, that could mean water rates would double by 2021.
