Police are looking for a suspect that tried to kidnap a 15 year-old girl while she sat to pray at a memorial of a lost friend.
It happened less than a mile from her home. A young girl went for a jog down the road where a small memorial sits next to a bridge on Waldo road in O'Brien, Oregon. Police say a man in flat black van pulled up next to the fifteen year-old girl around 8 pm. wearing a black mask he assaulted her and tried to drag her into the vehicle. After a struggle the teenager was able to get away, and the man took off. The girls mother says there is more anger than tears and she wants justice. Police are looking fora white male described as 6'1" blonde hair and an athletic build. Weight is said to be around 180-200 pounds. He was driving a black van that looked spray painted. It has bubbling tinted windows and a dent in the passenger side door. The van has California plates. If you have seen this person or vehicle call police.
