0.50, that was the blood alcohol level of a driver who crashed his truck and sent it precariously dangling over an overpass this weekend.
Police in Beaverton, Oregon say the driver, who was clearly intoxicated, crashed into the railing on on the Denny Road overpass and came just short of going over the side. That truck dangled there for over an hour.
When rescue crews arrived they secured the truck to a fire engine to keep it from falling.
Today that man, 34 year-old Matthew Hamilton of Beaverton, was in court.
Hamilton's blood alcohol level was six times the legal limit.
Hamilton was reportedly leaving a a friend's civil war football party at the time of the crash. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and DUII. Court records showed that he has several past DUII convictions on his record.
