Today, crews are cleaning, sweeping, and scrubbing up the festivities from last night's New Year's celebrations.
Bartenders tell us it makes a difference that New Year's Eve fell on a Monday this year --as versus a Saturday last year -- perhaps contributing to a little less mess.
"Last year was actually a little worse than this year," says Debbie Knutson of Debbie's Cleaning Company. "It was knee deep, so this year is only ankle deep."
However, 4 Daughters tells us it actually had more patrons this New Year's, but in general it was an older crowd.
Initial OSP reports indicate from the beginning of the holiday weekend there were 73 DUII's across the state... up from 53 last year.
