A single vehicle accident caused a portion of Highway 39 south of Klamath Falls to shut down for nearly six hours this weekend.

Oregon State Police say 25 year old Devon Kirkpatrick of Malin was driving south bound, and drifted off the roadway Saturday night.

The car struck a power pole near Chin road, causing power lines to fall across the highway.

Crews from Pacific Power were called to help fix the pole.

Kirkpatrick was not hurt, but she was cited for failure to maintain a lane.
