Crews mopping up afternoon grass fire

Medford, Ore. -- Multiple crews responded to a grass fire in Medford Thursday afternoon.

The fire started around 3pm between the Crater Lake Ford on Biddle Road and Interstate 5.

Crews responded from Medford Fire, Jackson Fire District #3 and Oregon Department of Forestry.

No buildings were damaged in the fire and no injuries were reported.

Crews had the fire under control just after 4:30pm Thursday. Officials said the fire burned approximately 5 acres.

Fire officials were on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
