Distinguished Doctor Loses Battle With Cancer

A Rogue Valley community activist and distinguished physician died August 5th after a 6 year battle with brain cancer.

Dr. Eric Overland moved to Medford in 1980 where he established a solo pulmonary practice. He founded one the first accredited sleep labs in Oregon.

He served as Chief of Staff at Providence Hospital and received the Honorary Service Award as President of the Jackson County Medical Society.

He loved music and was an active member of the Rogue Valley Chorale.

We at KOBI TV and KOTI TV extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Marjorie, his children and grand children. A memorial service will be held Saturday September 21st at The Craterian Theater.
