A drug bust that went down Wednesday in Medford could have ties to the largest steroid bust in the city's history.
That steroid bust happened nearly two months ago. Wednesday, drug officers found what they believe is more of the steroids in a different raid.
54 year old Jeffrey Dennis Rupert was arrested Wednesday at a home in the 300 block of East 12th Street in Medford. That's where police say they seized 3.5 grams of meth and 4 grams of black tar heroin. Also found were two bottles of steroids labeled 'Superior labs.'
That's the same name and packaging as those police seized in a bust on February 6th. In that raid police seized more than 18,000 doses of a liquid anabolic steroid and the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra and Cialis. The drugs were found in a home in the 2500 block of Cedar Links Drive in Medford. Officers officers arrested Rafael Fernandez in the bust.
Fernandez's case is still being investigated by the District Attorney's office. Rupert faces multiple drug charges. His bail was set at 112,000 dollars.
