Early Morning Structure Fire in Ashland

A structure fire broke out early Monday morning in Ashland-- the call came in just before 5 AM.

A chicken coop caught on fire on Normal ave near Highway 99 and SOU-- later catching a tree on fire.

Flames were originally reported at 100 feet in the air-- we now know it was closer to 40 feet, after the tree caught.

The blaze was contained around 5:40 AM.

The investigation into what caused the fire will continue.
