Fern Valley Interchange Bidding Pushed Back To October

Another delay for the Fern Valley interchange in Phoenix has pushed bidding back several months.

The interchange project, originally slated to begin in 2009, is for a resident friendly redesign to the Phoenix exit. It will finally be open to bid come the end of October.

ODOT officials say that while it is a delay, it is a well received one...meaning the project would now occur during the preferred fall season.

Bids are expected to be lower for the fall construction cycle as opposed to summer.
