Fire crews are trying to figure out what caused a fire that destroyed a home in Trail Sunday.

More than 15 units from four different agencies responded to the blazewhich broke out around 3:30 on the 800 block of Ragsdale Road.

Fire officials believe the fire started in the home and quickly spread to the yard and some trees.

Flames reached about 30 feet high.

Several small fires were sparked from the house fire embers from the wind which crews quickly contained.

Firefighters chose to just let the house burn.

"Se went to a defensive, just let it burn, just because lack of water, heat of the day and number of personnel we had on scene."

Fire officials have not yet determined how the fire started.
