The continued hot dry conditions have pushed southern Oregon to 'Extreme' fire danger status.

The following restrictions are in effect as of midnight Thursday morning.

From the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m, chain saw use is prohibited, but during nonrestricted hours, chainsaw users will be required to have an ax, a shovel and an 8-ounce or larger fire extinguisher at the work site.

Mowing of dead or dry grass with power driven equipment is also prohibited.

Cutting or grinding of metal is not allowed, and the use of equipment that uses an internal combustion engine may not be used in combustible vegetation areas.
