A fire fully engulfs a home on Maple Lane near Gold Hill.
Fire officials tell NBC 5 that home is a complete loss.
The road was blocked off and smoke filled the air.
It happened around 4pm Saturday afternoon
Fire crews worked to put out the flames.
Oregon Department of Forestry was also on scene making sure embers from the blaze did not ignite nearby dry grass.
"The way the wind kicked up this afternoon, it has a nasty tendency to pick up hot embers and throw them sometimes a quarter, half mile down wind," said Rod Edwards, Battalion Chief, fire district 3.
Two people live in the home with six dogs.
Both residents escaped and they were able to get four of their dogs out, but the other two are still missing.
Investigators say they don't know what caused the fire but they do know it started in the garage.
