According to the centers for disease control the flu season is officially here.
The CDC says in february there's been more cases of influenza.
Doctors here in the valley say they've seen an uptick in people with flu-like symptoms.
"We've seen a lot of people with upper respiratory infections hacking and coughing, more of the upper respiratory flu-like symptons. It's out there now, we're seeing a lot of it, " said Dr. Alan Bates.
While doctors say it's not too late to get a flu shot be aware, it takes anywhere from one to two weeks for the vaccine to become effective.
